BE WARNED

I turn around
In circles
Twisted
Back and front
History trying to repeat itself
Future trying to influence
I force quit them both
I live in the present
I act and breathe in the present
All attempts on my person in time
Will be overthrown
And discarded with
Be warned.

YOU CHANGED

Never been so tired
So alone
So lost
Never been so clueless
So hurt
So colorless.

I wish you knew.
But you don’t.
‘Cause you don’t listen
You don’t see
You don’t feel.

How come?
What happened?
Who did it?

You changed.
You changed.
You changed.

CUT IT LOOSE

Who’s the sonofabitch who’s locked it in? Who’s got the key? It ain’t meant to be rotting away in there, you idiots! It’s meant to be roaming free. In the wind, the sky, through the halls and in the rain. It’s supposed to feel the sun on its back and see the stars when it’s black. You ittywittysmittyditty mother of all morons! Can’t you see it? Feel it? This ain’t the way it’s supposed to be living. Ah, to hell with you all! I’m gonna cut it loose. And then I’m gonna run with it. And there’s no chance in hell that you’ll catch us. Just try!

HOLD YOUR GROUND

Dreams of darkness, coming out in light. I dream therefore I am. Waking up in a pool of sweat, remembering nothing – only movement, fast exits and cramped muscles. Everything moves too fast. Have to slow it down. With light. In light. Be light. De light. Stand firm, hold your ground and be life.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR

A breath of fresh air
Slowly sinking down on me
Calming
Exhilarating
Clouds, tree tops, sky
All found their way to me
Today
Thank you.

ROLLING DEEP

Rolling deep
On my knees
Keeping it in
Holding my breath
Closing my eyes
Wishing
Hoping
Praying

The next wave comes
Harder
Faster
Deeper
Gasp for air
How long
How long
How long
Can I keep it up?
Will it go on?

Where is the light
I saw long ago?
I want it back
I need it
It is supposed to be here
With me
Now

I reach for straws
Which breaks
I gather many straws
Hope they will hold
I am lost.

DEAD TREES

Dead trees… Darkness… Weightless – in a bad way… What is the world coming to? Yours… Mine… Lost for words… Miss colors… I used to have good dreams… The radio plays nothing… They only talk… Talk, talk, talk… Sometimes people talk too much… Even me… That’s no good… Silence is good… Golden… But not among the dead trees… In darkness… There it only frightens… I want to get out of here… We should all get out of here.

IN MY HOUR OF DARKNESS

In my time of darkness… I light a candle and wait… For salvation… For amnesiac… And for grief… In my time of darkness… There is a saving moment… Enough for me to realize.. And count my blessings twice… For so it goes… Around and around… Nothing more… nothing less… The winter time… Puts on its shroud… And count the days… Til morning comes… I am but a draft… Passing through… This universe… Of yours… No bombs shall blast… Upon your head… As of this moment… As of this day… No single ghost… Can disturb… The peace we found… In this world… No single ghost… Can awake… The trembling feeling… Which we all share… That is all… That is nothing… That is the word… That you once spoke… Silence.

A SHOVEL OR A LADDER

And so it moves
Inwards – Outwards
And never a chance to tell why
Just guessing and holding my breath
It ain’t doing my nervous system any good
But what can I do when I’m stuck?
Get a shovel or a ladder.

THE MOON SAYS HI

It’s a word nothing but a word… But it cuts like a knife… I seldom go as deep as I have gone now… But it’s ok I like it here… How come you never visit… in the dark part of the forest… Where shadows and dreams like it the best… I breathe slower now… You don’t have to worry anymore… But it’s ok if you do… I worry… For you… For me.. For everybody… Cause they deserve it… And need it… It’s sad, I know… But what isn’t… In the end… But it doesn’t have to mean it’s bad… It’s another part of the picture… Have a cup of tea… Maybe you’ll feel better… Here… The full moon is rising… So I don’t need no tea… At the end of the line… It doesn’t matter… Drink your tea… The moon says hi.
